I am just a girl who finds solace in capturing snapshots of the lives of ordinary people doing ordinary and sometimes extraordinary things. I am trying to find a place in the world, a place with no strings attached, no lies or false pretenses, no lack of imagination and vision.
Writing, photography, music, the arts, and people are my passions. Someday, somehow, I will be able to find a career path that incorporates all of these things. Until then, I slave away aimlessly trying to catch my breath.
I am a writer.
I am a dreamer.
I am a an artist.
I am a friend.
I am a daughter.
I am a sister.
I am pro-choice. (The right for all humans to make their own choices, without having a government or entity dictate to them what to believe, think, or do.)
I am pro-life. (The right for all life to be regarded in the same manner, to be allowed to live life freely)
I am a pacifist.
I am a strong supporter of equality among all people, regardless of age, gender, sexual preference, religious beliefs, and anything else that seperates humans from other humans.
I am an advocate of free thinking-- being able to think freely, without fear of condemnation or ridicule from those that think differently.
I am an advocate of the concepts of acceptance and tolerance, including religious tolerance with no exclusions (including christianity).
I am an advocate of social service in which society lends itself to one another to better the lives of not only themselves, but of those who are less fortunate then themselves.
I obtained my BS in Psychology in 2005. Since then, I have been working in the social service industry. I love people. I have a heart for helping others and trying to make the best of the world that we live in.
I am a published author. My book, Ramblings From a Captured Heart, was published in 2004 through Publish America. I am also an award winning photographer. My photo, Love, won 3rd Place- Color in the Southern Shutters 2007 competition hosted by the Clay House Museum in Madison, AL.
